We pulled all of our records from the warehouse and found a lot of stock that we did not know was there.  So, I created a new Bandcamp store to sell the new releases and I put together plenty of great deals to catch up with Big Neck!

30 CDs for $25!

Tom Potter Package (photo below)

Catching up with Musk via a Tractor Sex Fatality Package

Catching up with Beasteater via a Blowtops/Fatal Figures Package

We will continue to add more deals and more merch.  Go to the store and take advantage of them while they last!

I have to apologize for not updating the Big Neck Website.  Our new website is taking a bit longer than we anticipated to get up and running.  So, you will see items being added to this site until we are done with the new one.

BN100 Sonny Vincent and Spite Single!

I have been trying to figure out what to release for Big Neck’s 100th record.  This is a big milestone in the label’s career and I wanted something to reflect the moment.  I went through a lot of different ideas like maybe we will repress the Baseball Furies first 3 LPs in a box set with new covers and added material, or let’s do a compilation of all the Big Neck bands from back in the day with new songs recorded at Jim Diamond’s, or let’s find a new kick ass group to launch the label for the next 15 years.  A lot of ideas came and went and then the answer fell into my lap…

I think everyone has heard of Sonny Vincent and his new record he released with an all-star line up, Spite. Well, Sonny called me up and explained that he saved two exclusive songs from the session specifically for a 7” release and asked if Big Neck wanted to put it out?  I did not even blink and said, “Hell yes.”  Then it dawned on me, what a great release for BN100!

First off it is a single and we started out way back in the day as a singles label.  Then I thought about the super group behind this single, Sonny Vincent who was much of the reason Big Neck started out as a punk rock label. Rat Scabies, drummer from the Damned.  “Damned Damned, Damned” and “Machinegun Etiquette” were pretty much all I listened to in high school.  Steve McKay, Stooges sax fame, and finally Glen Matlock from the Sex Pistols.  Seriously every member of this Super group was in a band that made me want to put out great punk rock music.  So, yes this was the perfect release for Big Neck’s 100th!

The single consists of two songs “Mary Ann” and “Inflection”.  Mary Ann is a great, rock n roll, punk ode consistent in Sonny Vincent’s style of great guitar hooks, but with Spite backing him you can hear the drums driving the song forward and the bass creating hooks throughout.  The B-side is “Inflection”, this is a Stooges song if I have ever heard one.  Barely in control the whole song the guitars and bass intertwine to remind me of that early 70’s Stooges sound.  The Drums keep the song on the edge of control and then the sax from Steve comes in to psych us out at every turn.  It’s truly amazing.

Look for BN100 this spring.
