Ok, so I had the band name and the record title reversed for a little while before coming to my senses. The Big Neck label outta Northern, VA (ie: the DC area) has been releasing some real righteous stuff as of late and I’m finally beginning to take notice. Take this quartet, for instance. Sal, Mike, Curt and Nathan play these 14 songs as if their life depended on it (who knows, maybe beer and pizza was promised to them at the end of the recording session). They recorded with Jim Diamond at Ghetto Recorders and that dude has a talent of getting the best out of bands. These guys go right for the jugular on the opening tune “Love Your Guns” and don’t take a breath until the final cut, “Let’s Get Hurt.” Of the twelve songs in between a few of my favorites include “Soupline for Annihilation,” “Not Another Day,” “Lawyer Up” and “Intensity in Tent Cities” (ha ha ha ha ). If you dig other howlers like New Bomb Turks or Electric Frankenstein (Jay Reatard, too) then trust me, you’ll be ok with this.

News Tidbits from the Big Neck Empire

Cheap Freaks "Bury them All" is getting some crazy airplay across the USA.  Even making it to #39 on the KEXP list.

The Electricutions have called it a day and broken up.  Get their CD now before in anger and rage I burn them all.

We are doing a record with Scott Wilson from the Electricutions, Sal from Stop Worry and Love the Bomb's new band The NVs!

Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb have all their songs written for their full length and will be heading into the studio soon with Jim Diamond
