The Halfways formed in June of 1995. Their influences are quite different from their peers in the Richmond, Virginia "scene." While The Halfways are listening to The New York Doll, The Stooges, The Dead Boys, The Humpers, and The Pagans, most Richmond bands are listening to "serious and politically minded" music with "important messages." The Halfways don't give a fuck about politics or children starving in some third world country. They just care about playing Rock-n-Roll. After two 7" EP's, Going Nowhere Fast-1997 and Rockin' Time-1998 which received good reviews in Maximum Rock-n-Roll and several other publications. They then released their ground breaking and earth shattering single She's a Heart Attack, produced by Steve Baise of The Devil Dogs fame, on Big Neck Records. This release is catapulting them to stardom throughout the music community.
