As I wrote for their Pelado-single, the Ottawa-based Sick Fits play dirty punk rock’n’roll in the vein of ’77- punk and the whole NYC-scene back in the days. They throw in a twisted KBD- thing and some noise and come pretty close to what Clone Defects were doing before they broke up. On this newie though, I can even detect a kinda poppier and darker undertow which makes them sound like a dirtier and more fucked-up Ponys or something. Not that these guys ape anyone, I think they rock totally on their own. Name-dropping is just an easy way to get the message through when you’re a totally shitty rewiever, haha. Anyways, excellent band and excellent single and I’ve even heard that they are some snappy dressers which always is a good thing of course. - Savage

The Sick Fits have a 70’s Max’s Kansas City or CBGB sound kind of like the Heartbreakers only faster and not on heroin. A must have. - Maximum Rock'n'Roll
